Privacy Policy

Your photos stay on your device.

Last updated October 11, 2026

This policy explains what SwipePost on iPhone and Android, and this website, collect. The iPhone sections below describe the iOS app. For the free Android version, see SwipePost on Android. If anything is unclear, email swipepostapp@outlook.com or message us on Instagram at @swipepost.app.

SwipePost on iPhone: the short version

What stays on your device

Photos and videos you add, your projects, favorite templates and settings are stored on your iPhone. Editing, including cutting out a subject, happens on your iPhone. SwipePost only picks the photos you choose, and only asks to add to your photo library when you save your finished slides.

Template links

When you tap Generate Link in Export, SwipePost uploads the layout of that project to Cloud Firestore (Google): its text, stickers, frames, colors and where everything sits. Your photos and videos are not uploaded; they become empty photo slots. Anyone who has the link can open the layout, including the text you wrote, so only share a link with people you are happy to show it to. The upload is tied to a random anonymous ID from Firebase Authentication, and only your device can delete it. You can delete a link at any time under Template Links in Export. Links you have not deleted stay online. Deleting the app also deletes your list of links, so delete them first or message us to have them removed.

What we collect and why

Usage analytics

The app sends events about how it is used, such as which screens you open, which templates you view and where you found them, which editing tools you use, whether an export or purchase succeeded, and errors that happen. These go to Firebase Analytics (Google) and Mixpanel (stored in the EU). Events carry a random app instance ID, your device model, iOS version, app version and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Edits are described by the setting you changed, such as a font, color or background. Searches in Templates include the words you search for. Events never contain your photos, videos, the text you write on your slides or your project names. Analytics are part of how the app works: there is no setting in the app to turn them off.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have SwipePost Pro, which involves an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history.

Update check

When the app opens, it asks Apple's App Store for the latest version number so it can tell you when an update is available. No personal data is sent.

Who processes your data

Each of these handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Data on your device stays until you delete it or the app. Analytics data is kept by Firebase and Mixpanel under their retention settings and then deleted. Purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat as long as they are needed for your subscription.

Your choices

SwipePost on Android

This section covers the free Android version, starting with version 1.0.1. The iPhone analytics and purchase integrations described above do not apply to this Android version.

Your photos and projects

SwipePost lets you create collages and carousels without an account. Photos and videos you select, edits and saved projects are processed and stored on your device. SwipePost does not upload your photos, videos or projects to our servers. Background removal runs on your device.

You choose which media the app can access through Android's media controls. When you export, files are saved on your device. When you use the Android share sheet, the app or destination you select receives the files you choose to share and handles them under its own privacy policy.

Purchases and analytics

All templates are available without a purchase in this Android version. It has no ads, account registration or in-app purchases. RevenueCat purchase services are disabled. The Android app does not use the Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel integrations used in our other services.

Google ML Kit

The background-removal feature uses Google ML Kit through Google Play services. ML Kit may download the model needed for this feature. Your input images are processed on your device and are not sent to Google for processing.

Google ML Kit collects diagnostic and usage information, including device and application information, device or installation identifiers, feature events, errors and performance information. This may include model-download events, image format and resolution, and input or output sizes. Google uses this information to diagnose problems and improve its services. It is transmitted over HTTPS and is not transferred to third parties by the ML Kit SDK.

For Google's disclosure and handling of this information, see ML Kit's Android data disclosure and Google's Privacy Policy. The app does not provide a switch to disable ML Kit's diagnostic collection.

Storage and deletion

Your local projects remain on your device until you delete them or clear the app's data. Exported files remain in your device storage until you delete them separately. Android may back up app data according to your device and Google account settings; you can manage those backups through Android and Google.

Google handles retention of ML Kit diagnostics under its own policies. SwipePost does not receive a user-level copy of those records and cannot identify or delete them on your behalf.

This website

This website uses no cookies. It counts page visits with Mixpanel (stored in the EU) without storing anything in your browser. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when you open it.

Children

SwipePost is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
